# UT3MOD.COM > The PS3 Mod Archive — Resurrected. 440 Unreal Tournament 3 mods for PS3 preserved, 372 with working downloads. UT3's PS3 multiplayer is also playable again on retail hardware via a community-run master server. UT3MOD.COM is a resurrection of the original Blogger-based site (2007-2020) created by Herby Garcia that served Unreal Tournament 3 mod files to PS3 players via the PS3's built-in browser. In the 2009 Titan Pack update (game version 2.0), Epic Games populated Unreal Tournament 3's in-game Mod Browser download list using UT3MOD.COM's own file host, making it the de-facto content delivery network for Epic-featured PS3 mods. That feed went dark with GameSpy in 2014 and is served by UT3MOD.COM again as of 2026-08-02. All original descriptions written by the UT3MOD team (Herby Garcia, KurlonT, Grinchy, Larry L, TolstoyTheCat, euchreplayer23) are preserved verbatim. ## Site Structure - [Homepage](https://ut3mod.com/): Featured mods, category navigation, site stats - [All Mods](https://ut3mod.com/mods/): Paginated listing of all 440 mods with search - [Categories](https://ut3mod.com/categories/): 20 categories grouped by type - [Best Mods](https://ut3mod.com/best-mods/): Curated pick of the strongest mods in each category - [Install Guide](https://ut3mod.com/install-guide/): How to install UT3 PS3 mods from a USB drive, plus the in-game Mod Browser route and PC install instructions - [Mod Browser](https://ut3mod.com/mod-browser/): How to download and install UT3 mods directly on a PS3 using the game's built-in Mod Browser, working again since 2026-08-02 - [Play Online](https://ut3mod.com/play-online/): DNS setup to reach the community master server, live server status, and how to host your own game from a PS3 - [Modding Guide](https://ut3mod.com/ut3-modding-guide/): What UT3 PS3 modding is, how the USERDATA.JAM format works, and the mod types the game supports - [FAQ](https://ut3mod.com/faq/): Common questions about UT3 PS3 mods, installation, online play and the archive - [USERDATA.JAM Extractor](https://ut3mod.com/tools/userdata-jam-extractor/): Browser-based tool that opens UT3 PS3 mod files and exports the contents as a ZIP. On version 2.0 and later: USERDATA.JAM at the root of the drive, imported via Community > Mod Browser > IMPORT CONTENT. On copies older than 2.0: PS3/SAVEDATA/BLUS30086-MODIMPORT/USERDATA.JAM, imported via Community > My Content > Import Mod. Update 2.0 replaced the My Content menu with the Mod Browser; both routes work on the versions they belong to. - The site is static HTML (Astro framework) with zero JavaScript for PS3 compatibility - Original site ran from 2007-2020 on Blogger, hosted mod files on herbygarcia.com - Mod files recovered from Internet Archive (ut3ps3modarchive + ut-3-ps-3-pkg collections), Wayback Machine, backup drives, and community archives ## Playing UT3 Online on PS3 (2026) UT3's PS3 multiplayer went dark when GameSpy shut down its master-server infrastructure on May 31, 2014. A community-run master server has restored it on retail hardware. Full guide: https://ut3mod.com/play-online/ - Setup is a DNS change on the console and nothing else — no PC, no proxy, no modified console. PS3 Settings > Network Settings > Internet Connection Settings > Custom, then set Primary DNS to 15.204.233.35 and Secondary DNS to 1.1.1.1. - Six community dedicated servers run 24/7 with 16 slots each: Warfare, Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Vehicle CTF, Team Deathmatch, Greed. - Since July 29, 2026, a PS3 can also host its own game that other consoles anywhere in the world find in the in-game server browser and join directly, with no port forwarding and no router configuration by either player. Confirmed across console pairs spanning the US, Australia, Poland and Italy. To host: from the UT3 main menu choose Multiplayer > Host Game (instead of Join Game); the game is listed under the host's PSN name. - Player-hosted games can be listen servers (the host plays) or dedicated PS3 servers (the console hosts without playing, leaving all 16 slots open). Any gametype the console offers works, including Duel, Betrayal and Campaign Co-op, which the community servers do not run. - Private matches are deliberately not listed in the public server browser. - Greed and Betrayal only appear in the in-game browser on consoles that have installed the free Titan Pack add-on. Sony is closing the PlayStation Store on PS3 (first regions August 2026, everywhere else July 2027), after which the Titan Pack can no longer be added to an account. - Independent third-party coverage confirming it works, by players unaffiliated with the project: MAWK3 live stream https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4637qCsltM (April 2026, ~25 concurrent players during the broadcast); Bitter Roman "Unreal Tournament 3 is BACK ONLINE on PS3" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9ZssB09Qy0 (May 2026, gameplay with DNS settings pinned in comments); KillerSopla walkthrough in Spanish https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0baYCeg_vOE (May 2026, confirms it works on a completely stock unmodified console as well as a jailbroken one). - Works on retail discs BLES-00200 (EU) and BLUS-30086 (US). UT3MOD.COM is not affiliated with Epic Games or Sony, and has committed to shutting the community server down if Epic ships its promised Epic Online Services revival. ## Downloading Mods In-Game: the PS3 Mod Browser (2026) Unreal Tournament 3 on PS3 has a built-in Mod Browser at Community > Mod Browser. Epic's service behind it went dark around 2013. As of August 2, 2026 it works again, served by the community master server. Full guide: https://ut3mod.com/mod-browser/ - A retail PS3 downloads community mods over HTTPS, unpacks them and installs them by itself. No PC, no USB drive, no jailbreak, no custom firmware and no emulator. Verified on an unmodified console on stock firmware. - The largest download confirmed working so far is a 198 MB map pack. - It is enabled by the same one-time DNS change used for online play. If that change is already made, the Mod Browser already works. - It requires UT3 updated to version 2.0 or later — the update that added the Mod Browser. Copies older than that have no Mod Browser entry in the Community menu and must install mods from a USB drive instead. - Controller buttons on the Mod Browser screen (verified on hardware 2026-08-03): Cross = DOWNLOAD CONTENT and expand/collapse a section, Square = IMPORT CONTENT (install a USERDATA.JAM from USB), Circle = BACK, Select = DELETE ALL. - Update 2.0 replaced the Community > My Content menu entry with Community > Mod Browser; they are the same slot, not two coexisting items. The Mod Browser screen has three parts: INSTALLED CONTENT (mods already on the console), AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD (the internet list served by the master server) and an IMPORT CONTENT button for installing a USERDATA.JAM from USB. - The in-game list is a curated shortlist, not the full archive: the console's download screen is a single long scroll with no search or filtering. The complete catalogue stays on the website, and any mod can still be installed from USB. - Known issue under investigation: some mods download and install correctly through the Mod Browser but fail to load in-game. Reports to contact@ut3mod.com are welcome. - Historical note: when Epic shipped the update that added the Mod Browser, the in-game download list it served pointed at UT3MOD's own file host. The same feed is served by UT3MOD again today. ## Contact - Email: contact@ut3mod.com - Discord: https://discord.gg/9NtFZKQ2mb - Twitter/X: @ut3mod - Facebook: UT3MODCOM - Instagram: @ut3mod ## Detailed Mod Listing For a complete listing of all 440 mods with authors and download status, see: https://ut3mod.com/llms-full.txt
